📝 Dev Diary #1 - Seasons and Daily Missions

In our first ever Developer Diary, we’re super excited to give you a sneak peek at what you can expect from Update 4.0 - Coach Missions!

Introducing Coach Missions
All major updates we made in 2023 (Trophy Road, Tournaments, Collection Awards, Hall of Fame) were about making it more fun to unlock content and make progress in Pocket Champs. Update 4.0 is no different!
Teased all the way back in April, the Coach Missions feature is now coming together in a way that is sure to spice up your Coach career by adding regular Seasons with new objectives and rewards every day!
4-Week Seasons and Daily Missions
Coach Missions will be available for everyone who reached the Gold League, after which you’ll see your active Missions, your progress for each of them and what kind of reward you’ll get for completing them.
As their name implies, you only get 24 hours to complete Daily Missions with various feats to perform like finishing Trophy Road Races, while Seasonal Missions stay available until the very end of the Season! ⏰
Unique Shapes and more Rewards
Every Season will feature unique Seasonal Rewards to unlock, like the Kraken Pirate Shape featured below. 👇
To claim those, you will have to progress through the Season by completing enough Daily and Seasonal Missions. We are balancing it so that 4 weeks is more than enough time to unlock your unique rewards!
Of course, on top of that, each Mission you complete will have rewards of its own like Gadget Cards or Gems! 💎
Extra benefits with the VIP Pass
During every Season, a premium “VIP Pass” offer will be available for purchase with extra benefits that remain active until the ongoing Season ends.
💡 There won't be any unique reward locked exclusively behind the VIP Pass. Benefits from the VIP Pass include having an extra Daily Mission, chances of obtaining Limited-Time rewards from past Events that you missed (such as Spooky Season or Snow Trip from 2022), and the ability to queue one Training Bag so that its timer automatically starts while you’re not playing as soon as your current Training is completed.
Our intention for this VIP Pass is to give extra benefits for those interested, but the various types of rewards from extra VIP Missions can still be claimed elsewhere in the game, and all players will still have to unlock their unique Seasonal Rewards in the same way.
